Innocent Wisdom [As a child] there was something healthy about my acceptance of the fact that life did not end at my fingertips. A world existed that I could not touch or smell or see, yet I knew it was real. As I grew older, my child's worldview narrowed to an adult's, and it was some time before I understood again that life was brimming with wonders, both seen and unseen. Now I have come to realize that the boundary between heaven and earth is porous, not solid, more like gauze than steel. Though our senses fail to perceive it, the natural and supernatural worlds are constantly impinging on each other. If we take a moment to call on God today, perhaps he will decide to send an angel or two our way. Whether life feels chaotic or calm right now, ask God for the grace to be mindful of his presence and open to his work. Lord, restore the innocent wisdom of my childhood. Take away the blinders that keep me from seeing beneath the surface of things. Then give me a glimpse of your grace at work behind the scenes. -Ann Spangler, When You Need a Miracle Grow and activate your faith Sunday mornings at 9:30 am in Faith Activation Sunday School.
